To avoid injury and contain shattered fragments while you work, secure any cracked display glass with tape.
Apply strips of transparent packing tape across the iPhone screen, ensuring complete coverage by layering them.
To prevent scattered fragments and maintain stability during the display separation process, ensure this measure is in place.
To safeguard your eyes from potential glass fragments that may detach during the repair process, always use safety glasses.

Step 2 | Camera

Step 2 image
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, detach the two screws securing the dock connector.

Step 3

Step 3 image
For improved handling and safety, detach the metal handle from the suction cup; gripping the suction cup's base directly provides a more secure hold.
A black display assembly is sealed to the silver front bezel by a rubber gasket; separation necessitates applying moderate pressure.
Exercise extreme caution during iPhone disassembly to prevent damage to the delicate display cables.
Carefully lift the lower edge of the display assembly by applying gentle upward force with a suction cup positioned close to the Home button.
When the display assembly’s surface prevents a secure bond for the suction cup, apply a robust adhesive tape, like duct tape, as an alternative.

Step 4

Step 4 image
Before completely separating the display assembly from the iPhone, be aware that multiple cables retain the connection and attempting to do so prematurely could cause damage.
Tilt the display assembly upwards, achieving roughly a 45-degree angle.

Step 5

Step 5 image
Using one hand to secure the display assembly, employ a spudger with your other hand to carefully detach the ribbon cable identified as '1'.

Step 6

Step 6 image
To facilitate disconnection of the remaining cables, adjust the display assembly's orientation, pivoting it until it stands approximately upright.
Carefully detach the ribbon cable identified with the "2" label using a spudger.

Step 7

Step 7 image
Before detaching ribbon cable "3", its securing FPC connector must be released; accomplish this by employing a plastic spudger to raise the white retaining tab, which will rotate 90 degrees to allow the ribbon cable to be freed.
Carefully disconnect the black ribbon cable by sliding it from its connector, then detach the display assembly from the iPhone.

Step 8

Step 8 image
Using a SIM eject tool or a straightened paper clip, gently push into the small aperture located adjacent to the headphone jack.
Apply pressure to the tool, ensuring it remains aligned, until the SIM card tray ejects.
Using your fingers, carefully extract the SIM card tray from the iPhone by sliding it outward.

Step 12

Step 12 image
Exercise caution while lifting the adhesive label that bears the warning "Do not remove."

Step 13

Step 13 image
Using the appropriate screwdriver, detach the eight screws.
The logic board is affixed to the rear panel using five screws; each is 2.3 mm in length, features a Phillips #00 head, and has partial threads.
The logic board and camera are fastened together using two screws; each is a full-thread Phillips #00 screw, measuring 2.3 mm in diameter.
Locate the "Do not remove" sticker and, underneath it, you will find a 2.9 mm Phillips #00 screw.

Step 14

Step 14 image
Carefully leverage a spudger to disengage the camera assembly from its rear panel housing; note that the camera remains tethered to the logic board at its lower edge and is not fully removable at this stage.

Step 15

Step 15 image
Carefully lift the logic board's edge nearest the dock connector using a spudger, applying gentle force.
Verify that each of the screws holding the logic board in place has been completely unscrewed if you encounter resistance when attempting to separate it.

Step 16

Step 16 image
Carefully advance the logic board in the direction of the dock connector to disengage it from the iPhone's internal housing.

Step 17

Step 17 image
