iPhone 4 Verizon Rear Panel Replacement

Detach the iPhone 4’s back cover to gain access to its internal components.

Step 1 | Rear Panel

Step 1 image
To start, ensure the iPhone's battery is depleted to less than 25% capacity; a fully charged lithium-ion battery presents a fire or explosion hazard if damaged.
To prevent electrical shock or damage, ensure the iPhone is completely de-energized prior to starting the repair process.
To detach the back casing, examine it for either two #000 Phillips head screws or Apple's proprietary 5-Point "Pentalobe" screws; confirm you possess the matching screwdriver for successful removal.
Using either a Pentalobe driver or a Phillips #000 screwdriver, detach the two screws measuring 3.6 mm located adjacent to the dock connector.

Exercise caution to prevent harm to the plastic clips affixed to the rear panel.
